Very often I hear from my friends and acquaintances: “I drink kefir for the night and I feel that I am starting to lose weight!” But this is only the most common misconception about the benefits of kefir, and believe me there are quite a few such false information injections. Therefore, today I want to dispel before you the most common myths about kefir. Let’s start.

Myth number 1

Kefir and other dairy / dairy products do not contain sugar at all in their composition.

I hasten to disappoint you, these products contain lactose, and this is the same sugar! And to use sugar for the night, not absolutely the best invention.

Myth number 2

Sour-milk / dairy products contain large amounts of calcium, which strengthens our bones.

Not many people know that acid neutralization is one of the main functions of our body. So, sour-milk / dairy products form this acid quite a lot, and calcium is used to neutralize it. That is, it turns out that we not only do not get calcium from these products, but also waste our own reserves, which is quite dangerous in old age!

Myth number 3

Kefir – a storehouse of all kinds of vitamins, minerals and other useful substances.

This is another major misconception of modern man. The fact is that a large percentage of the world’s population does not have a gene that is responsible for the breakdown of lactose from dairy products, which leads to serious disruptions in the functioning of the body’s functions.

Myth number 4

The use of kefir at night helps to lose extra pounds.

The most popular misconception today. Sour-milk / dairy products contain a large amount of carbohydrates, casein, whey protein and fats, which is why athletes use kefir to gain muscle mass and not only, but not to lose weight!

By the way, the scientist, whose name I cannot recall, said that regular consumption of fermented milk / dairy products contributes to the development of cancerous tumors in the body. Imagine!

Also, in no case is it recommended to drink kefir before bedtime, because instead of resting, our body will be busy splitting protein, and in the morning this can be one of the main causes of indisposition and extreme tiredness!

Do you still drink kefir at night?
